For background you can consider using ImagePaste (built-in) function. This is what others are using to watermark.

Very clever, Sameer! :-) Will this run on CF8 too? I love the idea of being able to create obviously customised text and banners for individual visitors, especially if they log in and you know their name and other stuff about them.

All it needs now is a scheduled maintenence script to delete images that are older than N days.

The img tag will contain alt attribute containing the text data. That should satisfy instances where images are off. And alt tag is used by crawlers as well.

OK, that's clear. But the true text which is in the image isn't in the HTML-code, isn't that so (at least that's what I see in your sourcecode in the page). So for someone browsing with images off or no CSS, will there be a text-replacement for the visitor (or for the creepy-crawlers indexing your pages)?

Its 100% accessible. It generates PNG images and only outputs an 'img' tag.

Only thing you do would be concerned for is IE6. For that Unit PNG fix is the best and lightest solution (less than 1kb) that you include only for IE6 and 5.5. So, you can safely say WordArt is cent percent accessible. Download Unit png fix from here: http://labs.unitinteractive.com/unitpngfix.php

Thanks Chris. I have just updated wordart to 0.5 to support Railo 3.

I will pushing in a lot of addition to this in coming months. Future version would allow us to generate background and text with Mac metal feel. And a lot of more sticker style options. I like the sticker that reads 1.0 in cfwheels.org homepage.
